I was super excited for Allison and Jared’s wedding day.  They are both fun, genuine, crazy smart and have great family and friends.  As far as I’m concerned, those are the ingredients for an awesome wedding day.

I started with the ladies getting prepared at Lasata Salon and then continuing preparations at Allison’s Parent’s home.

A woman can certainly make a statement with her shoes.

Not sure what I said here, but it sure got a reaction.

Let me help you with that Dad…

Next I met up with the gentlemen in downtown Rochester and went for a stroll.

Then the ladies.

Allison and Jared first met that day at the front of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Rochester.

Then we roamed downtown together.  The parking garage across the street had great huge windows.

Then we headed back to the church for the ceremony.

The rest of the festivities took place at the beautiful Somerby Golf Club in Byron, MN.

The dance was awesome with a superb band called Incognito.  They were seriously one of the best wedding bands I’ve ever heard, and I hear a lot of them.

YOWZA!!!

Jen and Justin are getting married at Rush Creek Golf Club in about a month and I am stoked (is this word still in the english lexicon?) about it.  We met at my new and improved studio in the Franklin Arts Center in Brainerd, MN and I had the opportunity to rock a white backdrop for 20 minutes before we headed to Madden’s Resort.

Off to Madden’s.

Post Edit: I sent Jen a link to this blog post and she rightfully reminded me about of an important omission from this post.  As we were shooting the series above, I felt a bug jump into my hair, or so I thought.  When I reached up to pull the bug from my hair, to my surprise, there was no bug, but rather a bird dropping. YUCK!  I did mention to Jen and Justin that one bird dropping was okay, but the event of a second bird dropping may result in the immediate ending of our photo-session, which would have to be rescheduled after my successful elimination of the culprit.  I can shoot more than pictures, if you know what I mean.

The new portfolio website is STILL being worked on, I know it’s ridiculous how long it is taking me.

Also, look for a video section to pop up on the blog in the next month or so. Because my clients get married and live all over the Upper Midwest, I’m starting with helpful video’s for current clients who can’t make it into my studio for a post wedding meeting. Topics will be on how to navigate their Online Proofing Store’s, comparisons between the different album options that I offer, etc.
