Matt, Sawra and I met at Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge on one of their trips up to their lake, Lake Vermilion, to talk through their wedding plans and see if we were a good fit.  As we talked about their wedding plans, I knew they were going to have an awesome wedding, so I was thrilled when they decide to have me photography their wedding day.

Most of the people I know, refer to where I live as “Up North”, but compared to Lake Vermilion, Bay Lake is “Down South”.  Lake Vermilion, that’s like almost Canada, eehh.

My day started with the ladies at Dreamweavers Salon in Cook, MN.

Kate and Matt are getting married next summer at Cragun’s Legacy Golf Course which, by the way, was just awarded 5 stars for the Dutch’s Championship Course.  So if you like to golf and you plan on attending Matt and Kate’s wedding, be sure to get a tee time at Cragun’s Legacy.

Kate and Matt met me at my studio, then we ran up to Madden’s Resort to shoot some engagement images.

 After Madden’s we returned to my studio, changed and then roamed downtown Brainerd.

Matt and Kate met at St. Olaf College so we had to get a few promoting the alma mater.

Bianca and Ken are getting married at Lutsen Resort on the North Shore of Lake Superior in about a month and I am really looking forward to it.  If you’ve never been to Lutsen Resort, it is a must stop on your next north shore trip, followed immediately by a stop of “World’s Best Donuts” in Grand Marais, because they really do have the world’s greatest donuts in my humble opinion, and then a hike in one of the many state parks the litter the North Shore.
