Casey and Jenni were married at 4:00pm on December 27th and chose to not see each other, that day, before Jenni walked down the aisle at their ceremony.  Because it was dark at 4:45, they did not have any time together on their wedding day to take portraits of them as a couple.  So we did an After-Shoot session the Monday following their wedding.

It was COLD, but they were great sports.

After all of our toes had turned purple and we were all shivering uncontrollably, we decided it was time to go inside.

Casey and Jenni love each other.  

That may sound benign, uneventful and rather ordinary in a quick reading of it, but to love another person is a profound statement, a profound decision and a profound satisfaction that is anything but uneventful or ordinary, especially for Casey and Jenni.  Rather, it will change the rest of their lives; it has already profoundly changed their lives.

This is my motivation when wonderful couples invite me to their weddings.  How awesome, in the literal sense of the word, it is that two people LOVE each other.

You may recall Casey and Jenni’s Engagement Session posted a few months ago.  If you have time and speakers, watch their engagement slideshow and listen to how they speak about each other, it is moving.

Also, check back in a few days. Jenni and Casey chose to wait to see each other, on their wedding day, until Jenni walked down the aisle. Because their wedding was at 4:00pm it was dark outside when the ceremony ended, which eliminated any portrait time with the couple on their wedding day, so we got together the following Monday for an After-Shoot. I’ll be posting those in the coming week.

My day started at Regis Salon with the ladies.

After hair and make-up it was off to Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood, MN for the dress.

I think this image really captures Jenni’s personality.

Jenni and Casey’s reception was at Gary’s in Ironton and was full of fun, laughs and tears.

I love the holidays and the joy that they bring, but alas they must come to an end and I have to go back to work.  I guess its not that bad as I love what I do.  

The holiday’s have delayed my posting of Quentin and Anisa’s After-Shoot, but here they are and I love them!

The day after Quentin and Anisa’s wedding we met at Camden State Park just southwest of Marshall, MN for a portrait session.  Anisa was quite a trooper as it was COLD and she was quite ill. Enjoy!

To end on a lighter note we had to have some fun!  Whoa, Quentin.  Take it easy!
